LifeGroup is one of the MOST important things we do at St. Paul! Simply put, LifeGroup is a group of people who consistently get together for the purpose of growing spiritually, developing relationships, and following Jesus. These groups are a place where you can be yourself and find lifelong friends. We believe everyone should be in one!
The Four Values of LifeGroups
Seek God: This means that as a group we’re actively growing in our relationship with God through worship, Bible study, and obedience. Together we are learning what it means to follow Jesus and live out His teaching.
Real Relationships: LifeGroups are so much more than sitting in a classroom. We need to be real and authentic with each other, but those relationships come through a life lived together.
Care For Others: This means practical ways of living out Christ’s love by serving at St. Paul and in the Kodiak community. The possibilities are endless, from involvement in our schools to preparing meals for someone in need, but the goal is to make service a way of life.
Grow Together: We all know, anything living is either growing or dying. This is why it is important for our LifeGroups to continue growing by reproducing. We can do this by always being open to new people. This is a life characterized by hospitality: we care for the people in our LifeGroup and constantly welcome others.
This meeting is in the small classroom (opposite the kitchen) in Springhill Hall. NOTE: A.A. meetings will be held in the Fireside Room in the church building until further notice due to renovations in Springhill Hall. Come on in–there’s coffee!

As we celebrate the new year, many of us spend a bit of time considering resolutions for the coming 12 months. It’s like a fresh start, right? Maybe one of your resolutions is to get more into the Word of God, but not sure where to start.
I’m developing a six-week Bible study on some basic Christian beliefs, along with demonstrating some Bible resources you can use that will help. You maybe know what you believe, but not sure why or where it can be found in Scripture. This study is designed to provide Scripture for some very basic beliefs that will help as you share your faith with others and reinforce and solidify your own faith.
Here are the topics:
- Introduction to the Bible – some history, information on structure and how to use online Bible resources.
- What does the Bible say about the Bible?
- What does the Bible say about God?
- What does the Bible say about Jesus?
- What does the Bible say about salvation?
- What does the Bible say about prayer?
We’ll explore Scripture together and learn about some things you may not have ever heard.
These Bible studies will held via Zoom, so anyone with a computer can participate from the comfort of their home.
We’ll be planning to meet at 10 AM Alaska time on Saturday mornings beginning January 20th.
Because we want the group to remain small enough to have good discussions, registration is limited, so if interested, sign up early. There is no cost for the studies.
If you want more information or wish to participate in the study, please get in touch with me.

Kids’ Church (Pre-K to 5th Grade)
Note: Kids’ Church is on summer hiatus and will return in the fall.
We are eager to work with your family to lay a solid spiritual foundation for your children so they can become resilient disciples of Jesus.
We recognize that safety, quality Biblical education, and kid-sized fun are critical to making your child’s visit not only memorable, but also life-changing. The goal of kids’ church is to equip children from Pre-K to 5th grade with Biblical truth to apply to their lives.
Children worship with their parents in the sanctuary for the opening songs, worship and children’s message, then are dismissed together for activity time and Bible study.
Study guides are available on the table by the sanctuary door, next to the bulletins. Drop-ins are always welcome.
